Retail is a nightmare, I was a Christmas temp for Next and since then have been even nicer to staff in shops because I know just how many twatty/thick as pigshit customers you have to deal with on a daily basis. We had to try to shift the catalogue so there was someone on the door trying to flog them, someone in the dressing room, someone on the till and someone walking around the shop annoying customers with the same question. Some customers were, quite rightly, pretty pissed off with that. God I hated that f**king place.
Things that piss you off Page 588
That's one of those shops that gives me evils, I think
We went into Curry's the other day. One of the salesman jumped on us. We told him we were just browsing for phones and was not intending to buy anything. They didn't have any on display, so he frantically ran into the back and ran out with a trolley full of them. Fair play to him when he recommended phones they didn't even sell.
Not sure in the end whether it was good or bad. But he was crazy.
We (or the missus to be precise) ended up getting one of the phones he recommended. HTC Desire and it's beautiful, so thank you crazy Curry Man (who incidentally was an Indian fella )
We also went into Dreams (bed shop) and we had about four of them pounce. Bloody vultures...

Dunno about you but bed shops are always empty, that's why wen they see someone they pounce, they might get their first sale in about 8 months and be able to feed themselves on something other than beans.

I'd like to run riot in an empty bed shop one night. Trampolining from bed to bed like a mental.
I wonder what happened when the shoppers and staff spent the night at the big John Lewis because they were snowed in last winter. Hmmm....now there's a premise....

Do you remember whether that was the premise for one or two episodes of AYBS? Definitely at least one.
That does sound vaguely familiar. Is it the one Mr Humphrys wears the big fur coat? Though I'd rather be stuck in John Lewis than the grotty Grace Brothers.
Hell and damnation on you Dolly. You have blasphemed against the lord who is AYBS.
But I like your avatar.
It must have been great working at Grace Brothers.
'Yes, well, I've had a bit of a think and this week, you're all going, for no readily understood reason, to work in the toy department instead.'
'Righto, guvnor.'
Oh yeah! They all share a massive bed.
