Because it's not a driving show it's a comedy.

Because it does use technical terms, but it doesn't rely on them or go particularly in-depth. It makes it nice and accessible.
And the bit with the Reliant Robin was aces.

And random Northern celebs righting them. The bit with Look North was double aces. There's something about how deadpan Jeremy Clarkson can be on these piss taking bits that's just genius.
