More Rafa rumours

Heskey's record is poor to say the least but he has scored some important goals:

Goal 5 in the 5-1 drubbing of Germany in Munich and goal 3 in the 3-0 win 2002 World Cup second round against Denmark. The problem is is that both those matches are the best part of 10 years ago and has only scored three times since...against South Africa, Slovakia and Kazakhstan.

He's played against some real footballing power houses in his 30 games since his goal in the 2002 world Cup mind. Should we talk about his failure to score against the likes of Liechtenstein, Andorra and Iceland? Probably best not.

Can get around 125/1 for Heskey to win the golden boot. One bookmaker is actually offering 359/1.
I wouldn't put my housekeeping money on him.

Ferdinand out of World Cup

Rat's cocks

I could get 7/1 now instead of the 6/1 I did get.

What are you betting on, Oldrocker - getting your leg over before Christmas?

More chance of a Ghana - North Korea final @ 10,000/1 !

When the petals start dropping off, the bees don't come around anymore.

BTW, I know I shouldn't but I quite like this !

With the odds you get, I think you should only bet on England if you're Scottish & fancy a consolation prize if the unthinkable happens again.

As I think I've explained before/elsewhere . .

If I must suffer weeks of St George bedecked chavs, stoopid flags on cars, incessant media coverage, arrogant 'we only have to turn up' attitudes et al then it's worth £20 to see the sobbing painted faces of the benefit defrauding ass oles that have gone there and the weeping little kids with painted faces when England get knocked out.

If on the other hand, God forbid, they win the 'effing thing, then I get £120 for my pains !

Ingerlund, Ingerlund, Ingerlund !

England

:D

Rio's absence doesn't really alter England's chance of doing well (i.e. QF or better). That will always depend on a bit of luck up front rather than at the back - england have been poor defensively for ages.

I've got to say, I don't understand why some people have such a problem with a few weeks of flag-waving. I've just heard a radio prestenter describe it as a "cancer" that he finds "disturbing".

Would that have been that bearded twat O'Brien, by any chance? He's more disturbing than any harmless flag waving, he makes me vomit with his forced opinions on everythng. LBC sould be taken off the air.

Back to football, I also think Rio not playing is a blessing in disguise. He has been v poor lately and Fabio was unlikely to drop his captain! Now Fate has inervened to give the captaincy to the right man, Gerrard, we have a probably stronger defence with Terry being free to lead the back four again (quite right), and lets the inspirational Stevie Gerrard do his stuff up front.

Forget the two weak friendly performances, this new set up will do business, Gerrard will turn this team into winners, the way he did aganst AC Milan, I definitely feel the team will be lifted by Gerrard's captaincy, somehow, somehow the right man finally got the armband.

He didn't even have to punch anyone for it! Yay!

So Sven's a "life long Liverpool fan" who would love the chance to manage the club. *sniggers*

I don't like to see the most flair players missing the world cup, that is wrong! It looks like we won't see Robben now, and maybe Drogba, added to the others already missing. Robben was in red hot form as well, it's a big shame for everyone.
