education really don't mean toffee.

My objection to the education system is that it encourages students to get qualified to work for other people. There's no option to study to be self-employed, or be an entrepreneur. It's not about how you can help yourself, it's about how you can work for the people in charge. School really is a 'conformity factory'.

Individual thought was definitely discouraged. Questioning the material we were learning was usually met with "Just read it and write it back down once you get into exam, question it in your own time" Or atleast it was in my school. I hated school lol!

If people are that way inclined, they'll go down that route without having to have it spoonfed them. Personally I'd be happy if schools just taught kids to reed and ryte propper.

In most areas of life, if you encourage people, they do better than if you don't, so why shouldn't it be so in this case?

They'd be better off improving the teaching of science, rather than modules on how to f**k over your business competitors.

Same at my school, I nearly horribly failed an English exam because I wrote down an answer that wasn't incorrect or correct (it was very much out of the box let's put it that way).

I could have appealed but couldn't be arsed.
