The Chelsea Flower Show has ended, and the exhibits were all sickeningly tasteful and decent. What would be the perfect antidote? Like maybe a garden of shallow graves, or a patch of dog turds on wilted grass?

What about a Capability Brown inspired outdoor abattoir?
The juxtaposition of his style of smooth undulating grass, which would run straight to the house, clumps, belts and scattering of trees, with the severed heads and still twitching body of god's creatures must be favourite for a gold?

Well that might well be taken seriously to some extent, since its common to find bits of animals in the garden, after foxes or cats have been out for the night.

Interesting; I didn't realise gnomes were banned, and it's telling that there were objections to a garden having no plants in it, even though Japanese dry landscape gardens have managed with just rocks and sand for hundreds of years. I imagine Maggie, the puking woman from Little Britain, would fit in well at Chelsea.

Well... if that might come across as too mainstream... what about a Japanese Scat garden. A relaxed Japanese Hill-and-Pond Garden. Backed by Japanese Black Pine with an oversized glass topped table in the middle?
