Continuing Grave Irritation Page 3

He was lovely jubbly.

You could say he seems like a good man. But then again you couldn't, because I'm with Gav on this one.

Seems quite easily. Strange I thought it was just me. The internet really does bring people together :D

CGI doesn't just piss you off? Ok a big film with a hundred million in effects is one thing. But endless scifi shows with increasingly annoying, unconvincing effects it just annoys. Not only does it generally look bad, but it encourages lazy script writing.

No. CGI doesn't piss me off.

Lazy writing does. But I don't think the two go hand-in-hand.

What shows are you thinking of?

Deal Or No Deal. There's no way Noel Edmonds is real.

His beard is real, his face isn't.

Ahhh.

The story was that the little girl loved himmmm. *sniffle*

Switch Sully for Paul Gadd then see how cute the whole thing is.

Anything with John Goodman in, is instantly unwatchable.

The Big Lebowski, That mental pres in the West Wing, Barton Fink he's aces.

You sir couldn't get a job as a marksmanship trainer for Stromtroopers.

Ha, I can see why Roseanne herself could be annoying.

Goodman seems like a big harmless bear though. Kind of like John Candy.

Didn't Candy kill a guy? McCauley Kalkin took one of his donuts on Uncle Buck and he beat him against a wall like a rug.

They used his brother in all the later films and covere it up...

Three barely passable attempts is hardly the crwon jewel in a glittering acting crown.

What's your problem with him in Barton Fink? In fact, how could anyone have done it any better?

Excellent in all his Coen brothers outings -Barton Fink, Brother Where Art Thou? Raising Arizona, Big Liebowski.

On CGI films agree that they lack redeeming charm (Wall-E, perhaps an exception as the premise supported the use of CGI), but if the script is good they can work - both Toy Storys, the Original Shrek, Antz, Finding Nemo, Flushed Away were all entertaining.

In non-animated films and television, CGI can be effective as a backdrop, but it no longer works in reveal moments (e.g. Dr. Who monsters) - instead of being shocked viewers tend just look critically at the CGI work,

Yes, all those series, Like Dr Who, or Primevil, or whatever completely fall down when they suddenly reveal a CGI monster. I'd rather a ropey physical effect monster over CGI.

Been eating a lot of pickles?
