Mashed potatoes and gravy are an American icon. We eat a lot of sausages, but they aren't usually combined. It's quite popular at any pub that styles itself as Irish or British.
Rhubarb is one of my favourites, but it tends to be popular only in certain parts of the country. Custard is almost unheard of and our pudding is literally pudding and not another term for dessert.

I know my dad likes Rhubarb with Ice Cream.

Aren't your sausages more like saveloys? e.g. made from cooked or cured meat.

Most rhubarb is consumed in pies. It's often mixed with strawberries.

We have all kinds, but they're not a big part of our diet. We'll eat some sort of pork sausage (patty or link) with breakfast and hot dogs or bratwurst on the grill, but I don't think most people buy a lot of sausages.
Texans like to grill smoked beef ring sausages when they barbecue. Mexicans eat chorizo and people in Chicago and Wisconsin (Polish ethnicity) eat a lot of sausages.
I haven't had rhubub (as my nan calls it) and custard since school.

So why do you like the UK sausage, is it just better?
I suppose top notch sausages in the UK are really good, but really expensive.
Banger Brothers can be about a fiver for a single sausage.

I just like sausages and mashed potatoes with a bucket of gravy. I've had plenty of good American-made bangers at pubs and they were tasty as can be. My local supermarket in California made them fresh and they were great, but stuff tends to be more Tex-Mex around here. I still have a bunch of spicy sausage made from the wild hog that my neighbor shot and it's GREAT on the grill.
