Awesome stuff.

I never really watched the Sopranos so the following viewpoint is almost certainly ill informed and undoubtably ignorant.
But the last episode seemed to shy away from a proper powerful ending in a 'just in case we can do a movie' type way.
I think it maintained the ambivalence about Tony.
Whether he was a good or bad person.
The last episode of Teletubbies. What a disapointment; Teletubby land was purgatory, Noo Noo was the devil and the Sun Baby was God.
Like how obvious was that?

I never watched past season 1. I enjoyed it, but couldn't keep up with Channel 4's scheduling and fell way behind with the series.
But I hoped it would end with the duck returning his penis.
What about the original Star Trek series?
Kirk turned into a lady.
No seriously...
I thought he got Space AIDS from an Orion Slave Girl.
Spock nursed him through his final days and he had a court case in Philadelphia.
Or did I dream that?
Ok he did a body swap with a female or something.
But I like your one better!
The original ending to Only Fools and Horses.
Quote: Kevin Murphy @ May 27 2010, 12:28 AM BSTAh, yes, the God-is-a-bartender ending.
Classic.
Can you guess what I thought about that?
You've got problems!!
That ending was so wonderfully weird and sad.
Tony Hancock in the Bowmans
The bleak ending of Night of the Living Dead. And the even bleaker end of The Mist.
The Mist was ridiculously downbeat.
More so even than the novella.
The Shield ended well with all Vic Mackey's chickens came home to roost.

Yeah, fantastic ending that one. The Wire ended really well too. I really enjoyed the end of the last series of Curb too. And Arrested Development wrapped up nicely too.

If that's the one I think it is, then it's the bleakest ending everrrr.
