As it's commonly known as the Union Jack now, I wonder if it will be officially re-named?
I read the news today oh boy! Page 135
Somewhat unlikely.

Whether to use "Union Flag" or "Union Jack" is a matter of debate.
The Flag Institute, the vexillological organisation for the United Kingdom, stated that the term Union Flag is a "relatively recent idea". Jack was a word previously used to denote any flag. It also noted that "From early in its life the Admiralty itself frequently referred to the flag as the Union Jack, whatever its use, and in 1902 an Admiralty Circular announced that Their Lordships had decided that either name could be used officially. Such use was given Parliamentary approval in 1908 when it was stated that "the Union Jack should be regarded as the National flag."
Union Jack sounds much better.
I doubt I've ever used 'union flag' in my life!

The Union was made up of the northern states. The southern states were the Confederate States of America. Their flag is commonly called the Confederate flag.
Well, whatever, one of those flappy thingies with stars and shit on.
