But only to you, not to me. For me, it was the perfect resolution, to you it was lazy as hell. You can't please everyone.

Oh, well I guess that settles it.
I'll be sure to mine your sketches next time I'm looking for a punchline

There is no settling it though is there? It's two different opinions, neither of us are right, it's our own reaction to the same material. You see lazy, I don't; doesn't really matter, does it.

Only a mad man would do that.
Well I thought that was an awesome ending. It certainly pissed all over the ending to Lost.
It seems a bit odd to call it lazy writing when it was basically the entire conceit of the show from episode 1 of Life on Mars.
I definitely wasn't expecting the dead pc 6620 to be Gene Hunt.
Quote: chipolata @ May 22 2010, 1:05 PM BSTI also thought it would have been nice if they'd had a character who DCI Keats lured to hell earlier in the series. It would have made the finale more chilling if we knew that somebody had actually ended up "down below" for all eternity.
Viv?
If they're going to do another spin-off they should call it Tin Machine (though it would be panned by the critics)

I doubt anyone predicted that. And if anyone says they did they're a big blooming liar.
There had been rumours on the internet to be fair.
Only by people who rabidly guess EVERYTHING just to cover all possibilities.
Not those who were just watching and enjoying the series like normal people.

Ha!
Quote: zooo @ May 24 2010, 11:04 PM BSTOoooh.
He did bad, Keats sent him to hell. That little bit was wonderfully sinister.
Ooooooooooooooooooh.
Maybe it was him we heard screaming down the lift shaft.
As he had his bum raped by Hitler?
All the reviews I have read thus far Observer, Times, Guardian and now The Sun have slated it. I have to agree. It was clumsy, obvious and a bit of a cliche.
This series has been over burdened buy lousy dialogue, supposed hot button issues and repetativeness (yes we get it Ray is a bit of a racist and Shaz wants a promotion).
Keets managed to remarkably give this turd a little gloss.
