He's written some great books - novels and non-fiction (such as 'This Is Your Life' novel and 'Things Can Only Get Better' Labour supporter memoir).

Yeah, he's quality. That history book he wrote, An Utterly Impartial History of Britain is most awesome and a brilliant entry into the history you should have been taught at school, if it wasn't so completely boring at the time.
The Best A Man Can Get is ridiculously funny too.
