And stirling is doing fine.

Well, it's been lots better over the past week, but it's not quite 'fine' yet. (Whatever did the turnaround coincide with?)

Hello British Empire lets turn that map pink again.

:)

Good news for fans of The Who -- especially the ones who like to buy the same albums over and over again:

"Each album's ORIGINAL multi-track masters have been recovered and will be re-issued as 2 or 3 CD sets with the mastering handled by Andy McPherson and with assistance on the mixing process by Pete. The mixing will hold true to the original 1st pressing vinyl. Bonus material will be taken from the Polydor re-issues and original session tapes but will be re-mixed, again, to hold true to the period from which the material was originally recorded and issues (where appropriate). The Deluxe version of "The Who Sell Out" is considered as the benchmark here.

"Tommy" and "Quadrophenia" will be issued as multi-CD box sets in their own right, featuring COMPLETE session out-takes as bonus material taken straight from the masters; The Beach Boy's "Pet Sounds Sessions" and Freddie Mercury's solo box set will be the benchmarks for these.

Pete plans to make his solo demos for The Who available separately through eelpie.com as high quality downloads.

Bob Pridden has opened up his archive for the first time and in conjunction with the band's own live archive and as part of the entire archive release process, FULL and UNEDITED concerts will be released, periodically, through Pete Townshend's eelpie.com website either as high quality downloads or for purchase as CD sets. This unprecedented wealth of Who material has partly seen the light of day on the fan-club-only "View From A Backstage Pass" and the recent bonus discs for the latest Greatest Hits release. Ranging from the commonly bootlegged 1969 acetates to shows previously either thought to have been destroyed or held under tight lock and key, this project will set the standard for the release of archive live material."

Something to make Aaron gag:

I thought Colin Baker had defeated them in the original series of Doctor WHo.

I didn't think that they were too bad.

That'd be if voting for something weird like Green, BNP, or Labour.

Bronzey.

Wikipedia . . .

Bronze is a coalition consisting primarily of Dave, usually with Nick as the main additive, but sometimes with other elements such as Vince, William and George. It is hard and brittle and liable to fracture after a few months of use.

What would North Korea have to do before somebody went to war against them? It seems that even if they commit an act of war, we're all very reluctant (with good reason) to do anything really assertive about it.

A lot.

The DPRK has 1000s of guns and rockets within range of South Korea's capital. They're based in huge concrete escarpments. Even the USAF would be pressed to destroy them more than a 100 an hour or so.
In that South Korea could loose 10,000s of citizens and that's assuming DPRK doesn't use chemical or biological weapons.

Then when the US/RK wins (with 1000s of casualties), they have to administer a starving, basket case nation which would make Iraq look like Henley on Thames.

So frankly Kim Jung il could throw his excrement at Barrack and get away with it.
