Not that it matters, but it wasn't really a panel show; more a series of anecdotes with associated banter. I wonder when we'll stop having endless truth/lie wrong/right themed shows always with the same people?

I agree that you do get the usual suspects cropping up on these type of shows. But what people would you like to appear that don't?

Henry VIII

It was also an interesting edition of The Museum of Curiosity, although I was slightly dissapointed in that Terry Pratchett donated something that he himself created in one of his books rather than something he was not responsible for.

I don't think this series has quite caught fire yet. That said, I did think the superhero stuff was very funny in Mondays edition.

Plus, it's the last episode of Baggage tonight. I'm listening to it now, just to make sure it goes!

Maybe the fact that Richardson was missing. It doesn't help the fluidity. He is back next week mind, with Kevin Eldon as one of the guests.

I kind of like it when they get obscure professors. That said, Eldon should be interesting as I don't think I've ever heard him interviewed. As for Richardson, I'm not sure about him. Have to hear how he develops over the series. Mind, I still miss Bill Bailey.

I think he's happy after he got headhunted by the pencil museum in Cumbria.

Just listening to Charlie Brooker's prog. Enjoyable listen but not really re-inventing the panel-show wheel. And fairly bland guests this week, although I did enjoy Lee Mack's Twitter rant.

I quite enjoyed So Wrong... and yes, Lee Mack's rant was very good indeed. Fair play to him.

I love Brooker and I love David Mitchell but I am getting sooooooo bored of the same old panel games with the same old guests, they are all just melting into one big blancmange of safe, Radio 4 sameness.

Having said that Lee Mack was good and Josie Long was... well let's just say she's not my cup of tea.

safe, Radio 4 sameness.

This observation could made of most BBC radio, and especially R4, comedy. It's always well-presented, and can be as of the highest-quality, but it tends not to take many chances. Presumably there would be an outcry if it ever did take more chances though.

Yes, to a certain degree, but doesn't TV suffer from that same "sameness" problem? The usual suspects trotting out their usual gags?

Probably, but I don't really watch TV so it's not a problem for me, where as I tend to listen to Radio 4 every day on my way to and from gigs (6.30pm show on the way there, 11pm show on the way back, lovely) and, much as I love a lot of it, the propensity to just have a panel show and stick the same people on it is starting to grate.

I asked this of someone else, but who would you like to hear more on these shows?

Cotter.

Jerry Sadowitz. On Radio 4.

I wonder if Brooker, Mitchell and Coren go golfing together?
