Heroes Page 2

To be honest, it's been on the cards since the disasterous second season. Shame we never got a final season to wrap everything up, but a pertinent reminder of how quickly a great show can implode.

It's been shit for so long I'm surprised it lasted as long as it did, especially as figures dropped pretty quickly over the past few series. The first run was great, but it completely lost it from more or less episode one of series two onwards. Even characters that you had previously looked forward to seeing, like Hiro, became irritating, grating idiots.

Very relieved to see this over. The first series was great, but then it just tanked. They tried to out do themselves with the second series, instead of just continuing on and advancing what started out as a damn good idea.

Shame. The fourth season was actually pretty decent. I imagine I'm in a minority, however.

It may well have been brilliant, but I'd sat through all of series two, and half of series three, both of which were dog shit, before finally giving up. A show can't survive being so bad for so long and still hold onto its viewers.

The second and third series were terrible, to be sure.

I don't think any of the series was actually terrible. The second series started a bit slowly but I didn't mind that and they certainly leapt into the action when enough people complained about it being slow.

I also think they did the ambiguity between Sylar and Peter being good or bad pretty well.

The fourth series has been OK. Samuel is bit irritating though - either they should have plunged straight into what he was doing rather than try to build it up or, when he kidnapped Charlie, Hiro should have ripped his head off.

I'm sad there's no more, I was still enjoying it.

It was never less than entertaining. Sure, the first season proved impossible to top, but all the seasons were highly watchable. I just wish they'd taken a leaf out of Lost's book and picked a finish date with shorter, punchier seasons. They might have survived then.

Shame that Dollhouse won't be back either.
