So what actors do tickle your pickle? Consistently?

Since we're on the subject of aussies, Guy Pearce has been consistently good in just about every movie I've seen him in. And I've seen The Time Machine.

I'm more into directors than following actors, and Crowe tends, certainly more recently, to work with directors, like Ridley Scott, whose films in no way interest me.

He's got no lips and too tight skin.
I find that distracting in a man.

It's true you can cut a roast with his cheekbones, though I can't imagine why you'd want to.

Crowe's Australian though. The English accent should be easier for him than a yank.

Wasn't he actually born in New Zealand? That's what I was told anyway.

Where are you now, Dave??

If anyone does want to see this, it's on at the Barbican on Mondays for £5.50.

Sat on the couch in my robe with a bowl of muesli. You?

Yes, but he's become an Australian citizen. And he lives there. And isn't it all the same anyway?

All these Robin Hood movies are prety much the same aren't they? I'd like to see a realist Robin Hood film done like that Passion of the Christ film, all spoken in middle English.

Box office gold!

Apparently this one more or less ignores the Robin Hood story, and makes up something else.

I think it's meant to be a prequel to the myth. Or something. I fell asleep when Crowe was droning on about on the radio the other day.

Crowe is far to old to play the part, too. They're supposed to be making it all realistic, but Crowe is in his forties, too old! He'd be considered an old man back then.
