Sucking up early?

It's her job !

Sucking up early?

Hardly. Been Tory since I was born.

My word that's like finding out Konnie Huq has a cock and chest hair.

Really? I didn't know it was a secret I voted Tory.

Neh it's not for most southerners.

Nice little speech he did though, let's see what he can do.

*looks at watch*

I hope that in addition to being willing to make drastic cuts, he is able to cope with the civil unrest which that might well lead to. Unfortunately, the Tories aren't known for their wisdom when it comes to avoiding riots occurring.

Yes they aren't known for their delicate approach to situations like cutting costs.

Hopefully most people will know this has to be done, except The Sun.

The trouble is, people tend to be reluctant to give up certain things, despite how much it 'has' to be done. The family losing their work and income, will look at the privileged folk still living in luxury, and they will ask if this is justified. The hospital patient denied life-saving medicine might be similarly miffed.

Yes, it is alright saying it has to be done, unless it is you it is being done to.

Sometimes it's fun having it done to you... what are we talking about again? Whistling nnocently

I'm sure Murdoch will convince Sun readers that it does. People may be a touch reluctant to accept it though when they are being implemented by a PM and Chancellor who have had their lives handed to them on a silver platter. Let's cut shed loads of public service jobs and reduce the amount of people on benefits, that's not a contradiction at all now is it? How ironic that when Thatcher was going through her cost cutting measures in the 80s and her little dabble in that wonderful experiment called monetarism, she found it hard to curb spending due to all the dole money handed out to the millions made unemployed because of her policies. Scary few years ahead, no wonder the Labour MPs rejected the idea of staying in power.

I'm neither saddened nor gladdened. I don't like voting to be in a gang. I never wanted to be in a gang. And never will. Hopefully some sensible new ways of voting will come out of all this.

How did elections begin in the first place? Clearly people didn't vote to have them, therefore they are fundamentally undemocratic.

I'm sure that Assole will be spitting feathers right now ! I can't see him getting his hands on the BBC anymore.

The bloke on Newsnight made a couple of good points which made me think. With Clegg as Deputy PM, he won't be able to ask anything at PMQ. Any political items on programmes like Newsnight won't be able to have a three way debate. And, having created the monster that is Britain's Got Talented Leader's Debates, come the next election in about six weeks time, how could both posh boys take part ?

The smaller party in a two way coalition gets marginalised very quickly.

Sit back in opposition, keep schtum and wait !

:P

Oh, and returning to the God awful prospect of England winning the World Cup, I've found in the past it helps if one has a small, say £20, wager on England winning. That way it's well worth it if they crash out and all the chavs cry, and if they should win, at current odds you can drown your sorrows with about £125 !

Win, win !

:D
