Ugh! Illness go away, please.

I know, tell me about it.

Robyn is all :$. Elliot turned up on her doorstep while also on the phone to her. She is sad that he had to go so soon, but he did have an exam this morning.

Just in after a freak rain shower ruined the neighborhood's happy hour.

We had beer, pizza and general merriment until the gods frowned upon us.

It's tiddling down here. Chip's cat just went for a leisurely stroll around the garden in it then had to be dried with a towel.

Should've put it in the tumble drier. I'm sure that's what your sister would've done.

Just picked up my New Zealand currency. It's feeling a bit more real.

:O
Chapman!

I just got approved to take the Foreign Service Officer's Test. I probably won't take the actual test until October because there is a recommended reading list four pages long. So I will be spending the next five months reading back issues of The Economist, the NYT from cover to cover and trying to figure out the principles of microeconomics and macroeconomics.

Also, I will be reading this board more. I have found the 'General Election' thread enlightening on the subject of parliamentary government, which they don't teach in civics class (or if they did I was not paying attention).

Ooh fun. I do love a reading list!

It impresses me that you people remember these things.

Watching the cross dresser move out. Turns out he found out from a friend that the place was going to be unoccupied for a few months and just moved in as a squatter. The cops both have smirks on their faces. I do enjoy the entertainment value of living here.

Do you think that will be the last you see of him/her then

I'm sure he'll still be around. The story goes that he found out from a friend that the real tenant was being sent to Washington DC for work for 3 months. The friend was supposed to keep an eye on the place for him and instead let the cross dresser move in. So, this guy had the cable TV service turned back on, ran up the phone bill, had the heat cranked up and opened a credit card in the real tenant's name. Then he moved in two other cross dresser friends. Yesterday the real tenant came back to find them in his very trashed house. the cops have been there about 6 times since then, trying to get the three of them to leave. Lots of fun.

I guess he was a cross real tenant then?
