Hi People,
Just joined this site and will bore you with a few details about myself. Now live in Ryde on the Isle of Wight with girlfriend after spending 22 years in London. Had life-long ambition to write comedy but badly let down by self-confidence. Back in 1998, and to cut a very long story short, started writing sketches for a live satirical revue show in London called .Newsrevue. Had many sketches accepted and ended up at the BBC with a view to joining a BBC4 programmme called Newsweek (or something like that) It was a little crap to say the least but was a good way for new writers to 'cut theier teeth' so to speak. Sadly for me, I had 1. A crisis of confidence. And 2. Radio 4 cancelled the show! That was years ago but have decided at the age of 49 to give it all another go, hence my joining this site hoping to get advice and support.
