I can't find a thread on Sacha Baron Cohen: here's the great Sir Alistair G in action:
Sacha Baron Cohen
I really think he's great. I loved Borat and Bruno and can't wait for the next one.
Ali G was great as a kid, but I do think he promoted the Ali G way of speaking a bit too much!

Ali is probably my pick of the three characters, but they're all great. Does he have a new project lined up Ellie?
I don't know, but I'm assuming so. He's too young to retire.
According to IMBD there's something coming in 2011!

Sweet
I'm trying to think of another character he used to use in Ali G that could be used for this project?
I wonder if he'll go female?

It's a 50/50 shot Ell

He only had the three in that, didn't he?
That's what I was asking.
SBC is brilliant, as good as Peter Sellers - maybe better.
He's carving out the successful career in Hollywood that Coogan should have had.

Ah. Well, he's certainly squeezed that dry now, it'll have to be new, new, new from now on.
I would've loved to have seen the character Ali G in a film much more like the later two. I think if he'd actually run for Parliament it would have made for an amazingly funny and interesting film. Still, I think Cohen is smart and funny enough to make many more characters, and it'll be a sad day when people are so familiar with him that they can see through his costumes (and not in the literal way of Bruno)
Has anyone seen the documentary When Borat Came to Town, about the poverty-stricken Romanian village that was featured in Borat? It's on sale at my local DVD shop now - and rather than asking here I should probably just look for reviews on Amazon.
EDIT: No, that was a waste of time: There are no customer reviews yet.
Sacha Baron Cohen is to portray a Saddam Hussein-inspired character in a new movie, The Dictator: http://www.independent.co.uk/arts-entertainment/films/features/sacha-baron-cohen-to-play-the-dictator-2190591.html
