Ban the Burka? Page 13

Doesn't seem right to me. There should be one form of law and court that we all adhere too, no matter where you're from. If you settle in a country, you should accept you have to live by their laws.

Well personally, I think that a lot of religions, including this one, embody so many repulsive ideas that they shouldn't really be tolerated. But given that they are tolerated, then this sort of mental court system fits in with their overall mental belief system. It's all part of the same madness.

It seems like every month we read of another westerner threatened with 40 lashes for catching a glimpse of a woman's bare ankle in Dubai. I say there should be no sharia law in the UK until the Saudis allow non-Muslims to live by their own laws. Hell, I'd even settle for them allowing non-Muslims to enter the city of Mecca.

OK, well I'm not sure I accept that poster's rantings as making a useful example. Perhaps this recent news story would better make your point? It's about a talented headmistress who was allegedly forced to quit by Muslim governers.

Depressing stuff. I've first-hand experience of similar. It's disgusting what some people get away with, particularly when they utter that one word that liberals react to most; 'racism'. Ali Dizaei, anyone?

This kind of crap worries me far more than the fact that some Muslims want Sharia law.

Next week, this woman is likely to be in our legislature, and possibly later also our executive.

Yet another reason not to vote for her! That is very scary. It's odd to think that people still believe you can 'pray away the gay'. She won't get in, in any case. I strongly suspect Sutton and Cheam will remain Lib Dem.

It's no different to people now who believe that being a paedophile is some kind of illness that can be cured.

But she's about a century behind the rest of us.
Which is worrying.

I've discovered a cure:

Don't talk to me about Cheam! Angry

Would you also be a proponent of death to gays?

Nice crayons. :)

Nope, just people who rape children.

What about people who are attracted to children, but don't act upon it?

(The kids are probably asking for it anyway, looking so sexy.)

No problem if a crime hasn't been committed.

I think it would be wrong to ban burkas after Joanna Lumley fought so hard to give them rights.

Laughing out loud
