So you think he's a commie?

Quote: chipolata @ May 2 2010, 5:25 PM BST

What you are! :P

The dictionary defines cock-a-hoop as: Being askew.

Reuben Askew was the governor of Florida when I was growing up. (He was also a Democrat.)

So you think he's a commie?

Of course not. He's a touchy-feely, elitist politician who thinks he's doing the right thing. Sort of like Jimmy Carter with a little Ted Kennedy thrown in. Sick

The English English version is something more like 'over the moon' ie deleriously happy. Don't know where it comes from, probably the French, they love their cocks over there.

Laughing out loud

I am the exact opposite of "deliriously happy" regarding the way many things have played out over the last 15 months. :(

Anyone else had a fiddle about with this?:

Well, nevermind, you might get darling of the right Sarah Palin in 2012, and she'll unite the country and make everything better. :)

Unless there's a Conservative majority, it's likely to be at least a week before we know who the PM will be - never mind him going to see Her Majesty the next morning!

I don't think it will take that long.

I have feeling that if he a few seats short Cameron will try a minority government.

Anyway. I still think they will scrap a majority. They always have the Ulster Unionists up their sleeves. And Sinn Fein don't turn up so they actually need a few seats less that the actuall "Offical" numbers.

Quote: Richard Wells @ May 2 2010, 5:11 PM BST

So you're saying we might not even know who the prime minister is on Friday.

Damn I don't think I can take much more of this.

Worst case scenario, we might not even know who the Prime Minister is by the end of May.

Actually, no; that would be pretty back - particularly for the economy - but worst case scenario, we get another election.

Quote: Aaron @ May 2 2010, 6:20 PM BST

Worst case scenario, we do know who the prime minister is Friday: David Cameron.

Surely: Worst case scenario : Nick Griffin gets PM in shock BNP majority.

He will probably try to do that, yes; and a small Conservative majority is what I've seen an increasing number of lefty pundits and journos predicting.

Worst Country-saving best case scenario, we do know who the prime minister is Friday: David Cameron.

I've always said it will be a majority of about 20.

Didn't John Major get that in about 92?
And it lead to the least succesful Tory government ever. Well, at least until this new one starts on Friday.

It could very well be along those lines I think. I'm really not sure what would be best now though, for the Conservatives and for the country. Very worrying times.
