It's because he's right.

A right tit, yeah.

Because they all seem to have policies which focus on the fact that as I'm female and an undergraduate, both of those statuses need pointing out constantly.

*scratches head*

But ... with the ...

Both the Conservatives and Labour have policy sections entitled "Women", because y'know, we need to be told that rape is a bad thing and that political parties want to limit it. It all just feels a bit patronising, especially when Brown feels the need to point out that a lot of undergrads are now indeed female.

Ah I see. Well, I agree.

With you, that is.

Speaking of limiting rape, my nan bought a rape alarm last week, but being old and not having alot of money, she is disappointed she's not getting her monies worth, but I've told her to wear some lick stick.

Hats off to this Duffy woman for turning down a big wedge of cash from The Sun because she wasn't prepared to say what they wanted her to.

He had nothing new to say - again - despite each of the debates being on a different topic. It's all "old parties", "old politics", "change", etc.

Ironically "change" was Cameron's big mantra before the election before Clegg successfully half-inched it.

Yeah, I was counting how many times Cameron said "change".

He was like a very tidy homeless man.

It's a pity that Clegg's use of it is so empty.

That Obama chappy nicked it too, mind. Typical black man.

Change has been the mantra of every opposition bod who wants to get into power since time began. It's essentially meaningless but it sounds good.

The great thing for any politician about the word 'change' is that it doesn't neccessarily imply that the change is going to be a positive one.

Of course, they might always attach some other words to it that do imply that, but that's just splitting hairs.

Cameron just said that Brown has been spending money we haven't got. That's quite an accusation, since it's impossible to do anything to what you don't have. I would have thought the PM might have borrowed more in order to spend, but apparently not.

What a Git...

I just put that post in the wrong thread. It's this headache. Fortunately I've copied it, and I'm now heading over to the smoking thread to put it there...

We've found that out the hard way. :(

And Cameron's use of the word isn't? Blimey O'Reilly.

Cameron's "change" is of ideology, of party, of approach. Clegg's seems to be just for change's sake. He brings everything back to being a "change from the old politics", avoiding policy. The PEB just broadcast didn't have a single mention of the latter.
