At your age that's a bonus. :P

Incidentally I speak as a Liverpool supporter.

What I hope goes when he goes is that frustrating knack United have of scoring injury time goals. In those moments I hate football, truly despise it but I have a grudging admiration too.

Something that always used to annoy me about Liverpool in the 80s.

Semi on Tuesday with the final (fingers crossed) on Saturday - both at home.

I might very well go to both of those.

:O

I notice these rumours that are...well rumoured, didn't come out in the press today.

Anyone remember goalkeeper John Burridge? He had a long and often nomadic career but could anyone match his number of club registrations in the four years between 1993 and 1997?

After leaving Hibernian for Newcastle United in 1993 he joined Scarborough (twice), Lincoln City, Enfield, Aberdeen, Newcastle again, Dunfermline Athletic, Dumbarton, Falkirk, Manchester City, Notts County, Witton Albion, Darlington, Grimsby Town, Gateshead, Northampton Town, Queen os the South, Purfleet and Blyth Spartans (twice). In all that time he played just 19 games and by my reckoning signed forms on 21 occasions. He was also on the books at eight clubs during 1994 alone!

Someone who clearly had itchy feet...either that or he was crap!

Enfield

'Ray! My neck of the woods.

From now on, if anyone asks where Enfield is, I'll say: "Oh you know - John Burridge used to play there"

If you are suggesting that Liverpool will be fielding a weakened team I wonder just how motivational Steve Bruce's team talk will be at Sunderland.

I might also be worth remembering that in 1995 Liverpool beat Blackburn 2-1 at Anfield who had Kenny Dalglish as manager. Blackburn won the title that day so it was hardly Liverpool's fault that United couldn't beat West Ham at Upton Park. ;)

Do you remember the bollocks that Fergie came out with that day? Something about West Ham trying extra hard just to stop United winning the title. Like he'd accept his team rolling over if the circumstances were reversed.

Wimbledon goalie Hans Segars definitely helped Everton avoid relegation, on the final day of the '93/'94 season. We won the game 3-2, after being 0-2 down at half-time. There was one goal in particular (I think it was our winning third goal), which Segars blatantly made no effort whatsoever to prevent. Sam Hamman was very friendly with our owners, so I think he might've had something to do with it. In fact, when the Wimbledon team later boarded their coach to leave the ground, he even held a freshly-printed copy of that evening's Football Echo aloft, displaying it's "Safe!" headline to the gathered Everton fans, as if he was celebrating!

Was he the half-time sub?

Saw a clip last night - presumably from the Man City game - where Gary Neville was seen walking off the park lovingly holding onto the United badge.

That must be fab to see for United fan - someone who actually cares and has passion for his club.

Problem is is that for everyone else it's an appallingly indulgent display from an annoying man who happens to play for an annoying club. Made my blood boil. Angry

What's so special about this photo?

And f**king Kingston knocked us out in the play-offs last night. Bastards. I hate them as much as Manchester United.
