I HATE the hot weather! HATE HATE HATE it! And because weather is basically preferred subject number one in all polite chit-chat I feel as if I've either got to lie about it or seem like a sulky teenager trying to be different.

I like Autumn when it's chilly but sunny and crisp. Yumm.
It looks like you're talking about temperatures in London of between 60 and 70 degrees Fahrenheit; that is considered sweater weather here. I turn on the heat when the temperature in my house is below 67.

Yeah it's not hot. Just warm and (mostly) sunny. I can't stand being in over-heated buildings (which so many are) but love the heat from the sun.
I hope all the sun-avoiders take Vitamin D supplements. 
It's not that it's hot outside, it just gets really warm and stuffy overnight and indoors, cos we don't have air conditioning.
(Don't we have this discussion every summer?)

Should've been around in '76.
I wasn't born till 1979 but in 1976 my dad was a butcher and he said it was so hot that the meat curled up at the sides lol.
Safe to say their was a lot of meat thrown away that summer.
