It started when I was 18 years old...
I've got this thing where I'll be walking down the street and our of the corner of my eye (I am short-sighted by the way and don't wear my glasses all the time) I'll spot a sign but often when I look at it, it is something different to what I think I saw-but the words that I thought I saw have been very useful for my material. I'll see a random guy standing on the street and something about the way he is standing/behaving will show me another character or trait for my characters.
I started to draw numerous cartoon characters and write their characteristics/personalities from what I saw.
I also wrote complete random off the wall questionnaires, create cards and posters. Am also keen on writing adventure stories.
Thing is I've collected quite an amount of characters and their personalities over the years but I need to organise them into some kind of story which all comes together.
I've got the beginning and have started to reach the middle but have no friggin clue what the ending will be...
I'd like to go into writing adventure books, making posters and cards and doing something with my questionnaires but as can be imagined don't have the foggiest where to start.
I wondered about doing comedy sketches and if I was to choose the kinds of show where I think my material would fit would by Monty Python and maybe Mighty Boosh for some characters (I know MP is a little old but am just trying to explain so you understand and might be able to give me pointers!)
I have trouble organising-I know plots are needed (I mean who wants to read a story that's all over the place?) but problem being that when I write I often get numerous other character ideas and plots that come into my mind-it is friggin annoying
So I thought it would be good to read about other people's experiences, listen to their tips and advice and hopefully get things completed!?!?
