Just a reminder that there is a 'minute's mayhem' at 12pm in honour of Malcolm McClaren whose funeral is today. I'm going to open the windows and blare some music out before streaking around the garden.

Yeah, this could be messy in our office considering we play music all day too.

A reminder? Who knew in the first place? Eh eh eh?

Did you get arrested? Or at least video it for chipolata?

No arrests. The neighbours have seen it all before. Bit chilly though.

Quite quite weird. But quite cute.

I understand they can get quite vicious - and their breath stinks.

I don't know about the elephant seal though.

Oooh, that was actually quite dangerous.
That's a wild animal and a carnivore.

If you go scuba diving or snorkelling among seals, they try to get behind you and nip your legs or bum.

Yes, expect another fad along the lines of 'swimming with dolphins' called 'cuddling elephant seals', in which all sorts of claims are made for how wonderful it is, and all the horror stories are conveniently ignored.

"Swimming with dolphins is promoted as one of the few treatments that can help children with disabilities such as autism. But it should be banned because it is cruel to the animals and dangerous to patients, and there is no evidence that it actually works, a report from a leading conservation group says. "

Remember this recent story?
"SeaWorld to decide fate of killer whale after trainer's death"

/..../
The fate of the whale that killed its trainer in Orlando, Florida, yesterday has not yet been decided, although this is the *third* *time* the animal has been involved in the death of a human. http://www.guardian.co.uk/world/2010/feb/25/seaworld-to-decide-killer-whale-fate

Ooh, they're doing a Sherlock 2. Ace.

I take it the first one's good then? It was that or Avatar for my annual cinema visit. I see Sherlock is out on DVD soon.

Yes, I rather enjoyed the first one. Was quite apprehensive, but it worked.

They actually spent ages on my uni campus filming, built the most elaborate sets, and then each bit was only on screen for a matter of seconds. Frivolous waste of money!

And I'm guessing you hold Gordon Brown responsible...? ;)

No.
