I am assuming you all have this in UK (not the actual stone, but the language course).
Has anybody ever used it before? I am thinking about Russian.

It looks like it's a good learning course yes, but it is very expensive. Not one that I will be trying.

Me too. It is amazing to think that something unknown for so long unveiled the meaning of a language lost for so many centuries.
But in answer to your question, I think it's a lot of money. In my experience you're better off learning a few stock phrases (I would like.../have you... etc) and adding the nouns and going from there. Otherwise I often think you're using a script the other people haven't seen, and as soon as they veer off what you've learned in your head, you're lost.
I'm off to Moscow in 2 weeks, haven't bothered to learn any Russian. I'm a Brit, I'll be fine.
PS iTunes does podcasts of languages, I'll be heading over there in a minute.

I have seen the Rosetta Stone also.
I have heard of the software, but I have never used it.
I am also kind-of trying to learn Russian.
Interestingly, I saw a review on TV just yesterday of a number of language programs, including Rosetta Stone. Incredibly expensive, but it looked fairly good quality and easy enough to use; they were touting it as an investment that you could go back to and refresh your knowledge, but for that kind of money I'd probably lean toward private tutoring.
You're best off learning languages when you're young and your brain is spongier. Older you get, harder it becomes.
My advice would be to spend a couple of months in Russia. I was stuck in Frankfurt a couple of years ago for a month, having been a victim of violent assault by a street gang. I was taken in by a passer-by, a Muslim man, and spent Ramadam with his family(many a faux pas was had), whilst those at the Bank of Scotland's Chief executive office had a good old laugh when I informed them that every ATM I had used had debited my account but not dispensed any cash, and that I had run out of cancer medication and painkillers. Do you know what they told me? Go on... guess...
They told me to borrow money to get home, and to buy medication illegally, on the street. Well, I never!!
So, after 3 weeks I returned home almost fluent in German, well, as fluent as one might find necessary-enough to buy a few dry martinis in Cafe Einstein, "please", "thank you" and "Sorry, I'm British"
Go on! Throw yourself in at the deep end!
and get yourself a nice Matrushka while you're at it!! LOL 
My brother and sister are on Muzzy at the moment, pretty much the same thing but aimed at children.
Our family has a pretty good nack of picking up other languages, so I'd not go for software, I'd rather just sit in a cafe in whatever country and learn what I needed that way.
Having said that, I'd really like to learn Japanese
