He did these three interviews, but there have been rumours that he recorded interviews with John Cleese and Matt Groening, is there any truth to this?
The reason given as to why they were not released is because of how the Shandling interview went.

I for one think it went brilliantly. They were acting.

I thought the Shandling one was a really good interview, I didn't know people thought it was bad. Bad for who? Shandling? I thought he came out of it really well, especially if you didn't know how funny he really was, like me. Gervais proved he's not a good interviewer but he is good at getting the funny stuff out of his interviewee, and he's just good at entertaining.
I'd liek to see the Shandling one again.
Wasn't there an argument about Ricky taking a drink or something?
I remember it seming quite tense Shandling seemed to want to get the upper hand as I remember.

I think Gervais had been left alone in the kitchen, waiting for Shandling to arrive to start their chat, and he opened the fridge, or a cupboard or something, and Shandling saw him. Something like that.
