Very good Giggle-o, I really pictured this in my mind as I was reading it.
I gotta agree, nice concept and good gags throughout.
Thanks WC and Slag. I'm glad you could picture it, always a concern.
(I see you might have something exciting in the pipeline SlagA, all the best, I hope it runs smoothly to our screens, whether big or small)
I love the image of the female bird consulting a 'ground walker' book.

Ah, it was actually land-walkers but ground-walkers might be better.
Cheers
Enjoyed this. Great concept.

Well, they've got such small brains it'll probably only be about food...or mating. (THEY LOOK AT EACH OTHER CHEEKILY; MEREDITH TITTERS)
At this point I expected the birds were going to be watching a mating display of their own. You might want to capitalise on that as the entrance of the 'chavs' was the weakest part of the sketch I thought.
Sorry, land walkers you're right. Attention span of a Big Brother contestant.

Thanks DB, it's the first draft so hopefully I'll be able to improve on it. I included the 'Chavs' bit as a way of squeezing in the line about migrating to Spain in the summer really. Might try and find another way of getting it in.
Cheers
Very nice, Giggle-o, but one thing: "longer head grass"..? Surely "featherier heads" or something to do with feathers, no?

Hhmaybe, I dunno, the natural properties of hair say grass rather than feathers to me, but you're probably right!
Thanks for that Bryan. I look forward to slagging off critiquing your output.
Love it.
Nice one.
Great descriptions. Great jokes. Flows perfectly.
Nothing I don't like.
"Migrate to Spain in Summer"
Thanks guys!
I'd like to produce a land/ground-walkers book but I don't think I've got the illustration skills.
Very nice, but a couple of minor suggestions
I would lose the 'small brains' reference, it does not make much sense and is not necessary to make the line work.
'Head grass' perhaps go with a more technical feather reference, as birdwatchers would when making an identification, e.g. "the female seems to have longer head coverts'' and perhaps add "and to puff out her chest more".
