Want me to beat him up?
Hehe! No, don't worry Gav.
Robyn just sent a poem, and is nervous already.
For some reason, Chip's just eaten a Cadbury's cream egg despite not really liking them. Now he feels sick.
Tut tut Chip!
Good luck with the poem!
I quite fancy a Creme Egg.

Quote: Chappers @ April 20 2010, 9:19 PM BSTI'd do extra work if I had 12 weeks paid holiday a year.
Right, to start off, I was obviously making a joke about it being hard going back to work after so many holidays.
That said:
How do you define 'extra work'? Sorry, I've been trying to ignore this for 24 hours because I didn't want to be seen as a moaning teacher. I have failed. Let me start Chappers, by saying I like my job, and wouldn't have done it for 8 years if I felt differently. But...Let us not assume it's the same as every other job:
1) I get paid exactly the same whether I work 163 hours a week or 35. This in mind, do you think I deserve kudos for turning up every day at 7:30 and leaving at 5:00, seeing as that's extra work, i.e. above what I have to do? I don't. I get paid, and this is contractual, to meet the terms of my job title. This could be any number of hours at all. My average - and I would honestly consider myself a relatively lazy teacher - is about 48-50 hours a week.
2) If it's that easy you become a teacher and do it.
3) I got bored explaining so basically finished on 2).
My apologies to everyone I've bored. >_<
I've been pacing myself re: Bigfella's numbers thing and I reckon it's how many orgasms it's possible to have during the reading of each post.
I'm a slow reader especially when it's this much fun to read.
(For Rob. But Slag can have one too, what the hell.)
