Has anyone apart from me actually watched this?
I really liked it, very decent cast list, and some real laugh out loud moments, which is more than I've had from some "comic films" (I'm looking at you Gervais)
It's out on Sky Movies at the moment.
I saw it. Not bad. Nowhere near as bad as I had feared/expected, anyway.

I have it watched it. Whilst I found it enjoyable it was still pretty tame standard British comedy.
I liked trying to work out who was supposed to be who.
I watched this recently with my girlfriend who has a very high tolerance for bad films but even she couldn't stomach this pile of cack and bailed out halfway through. I foolishly sat through it until the end.
How can a film with such a great cast be such a complete mess, very poor.
I love most of Richard Curtis' work and went to see this at the cinema. I enjoyed it but did think it was too long. I've watched it several times now and still find bits I'd missed.
I know that it was set in less enlightened times but I found the films attitude to women was pretty shocking (i.e. they're pretty much all "dolly birds" there to be f**ked and if they're not then they must be lesbians, seemed to be the message).
I really liked it.
The message or the film Ellie?
Didn't see the post above, but liked the film... the message is true fact though.
Lol.
Basically what Aaron said.
I'd seen shit reviews of it so I was pleasantly surprised. If I'd had high expectations I would have been a bit disappointed. A pretty solid 3 star film. It didn't really feel like a Curtis film until the very end when they were all getting rescued and Hoffman survived.
I think Curtis is better when he leaves the directing to other people. Both this and Love Actually seem weaker than earlier stuff, that was penned by him but directed by other people. He's best when working with others, and would like to see him co-write with someone again.
