My face is burning like hell.
Not that I'll admit it to the family.

Sure it wasn't just a Deserted Cat?
One of my ears is blocked and so I'm completely deaf in that ear, which is very annoying.
Any home remedies to cure it? I've tried drops and squirting water.

Warm olive oil while the head is tilted to the side - let it stay there for a few moments.
Throw in some garlic...

That's if you're in France.

Tried that. Everything's going in and not coming back out. It must be in my brain now.

Well that could help with infection - or at least make a nice dip.

If it's wax nothing other than a trip to your practise nurse will shift it (and you have to ask them very nicely these days)
Or it could be an infection, in which case anything other than antibios is a waste of time.
Don't pour anything in there or poke anything, you're more likely to do damage than anything else.
You could just tilt your head to the right and shake it.
I had some shower water come out 2 days later.
One temporary releiver is block the entrance to your ear with one finger and pnch your nose nose shut, then hold your breath for a count of 30. Before releasing both fingers at the same time
Just lie on that ear tonight. Maybe it'll all creep out.

My record is three weeks. They won't do ear syringing at my GPs unless you see a GP first, which will take a week or two. I have a history of ENT problems and this has followed on from a cold/chest infection.
I'll try the popping tip though!

Yeah, I've been doing that sunbathing in the garden.

In order to know it was shower water, you must have not washed for 2 days...

A hot metal knitting needle. That should clear it.

No, because the water goes in during the shower and you know it's there straight away. And then it doesn't come out.
Eastenders based a whole hilarious stroyline around this when Arthur Fowler took young Martin swimming. The golden days of TV.
I've just realised I missed the Prisoner yesterday - argh!
