NIce one Sootyj. I would have liked to have seen something more / different with Robocop, but still enjoyed this one.

I was thinking of a sequel with the terminator as a store detective

Sounds good , but was thinking could you twist a famous line from Robocop to link to the grapes? Not that I can think of one myself.

Quite how you can link this with grapes I have no idea!

You could stand to work on the dialogue some more (I don't hear Robocop saying
"These grapes have been started") but this is pretty funny stuff. The first reveal is really good. Maybe the shopper would be better of saying something like "but I already put the item in the bag!" (this being the major malfunction of the self-service till).

As with all these sketches (and I speak as someone who once wrote a sketch about the Balrog) you have to wonder at their application though. What could you possibly do with this? I mean you could get it animated or made as a comic but surely even then the reference is a little dated. Unless you time this with a remake it's pretty much dead in the water, right?

It was something I wrote for my sad sordid amusement.

In this case I figure using some crudely spliced footage from Robocop with someone standing by a till.

That and I'm happy with a minor chuckle at robots killing people for being cyber accused of stealing scones.

Dialogue sucks ass though, you're right as ever.

I liked the grape line. It's such a human expression.
