Doctor Who... Page 432

Yeah, sometimes the Doctor doesn't look quite the same.

According to a learned whovian, Dr Who holds the record for most continuity errors in a TV programme.

Spotted any yet?

Of course, like when they were monitoring The Doctor in the Dalek ship, he was standing right next to the dalek, but when we saw the interior for ourselves, he was far away. But these sorts of slips don't spoil it for me...not in the way that insulting plotholes and Deus ex Machina would spoil previous episodes.

I did like the way Amy Pond forgetting about the Daleks is somehow significant. That's potentially quite intereresting.

That was very interesting and a neat play on a real weakness from previous seasons.

And did anyone else spot the daleks mis-pronounciation of "paradigm",

No, can't say I did.

Ish. I don't cry if I don't see it. Why?

Well, doesn't quite work after your answer, but anyway, just commenting on the 'seen it a million times' thing, which would have been quite an ironic statement coming from someone who watches Eastenders.

Not convinced by tonight's episode.

New Daleks? Not keen on the look. It looked like a car ad, with all the colours.
New Dalek voices? Nope, not a fan. They old one was scarier.

Two more points.

How does a propellor work, in space, where there's no air to propel? And why, if the scientist was a bomb all along, didn't the Daleks just blow his up in the first place? Why use the ray?

Still, loving Smith. And the Daleks offering tea and The Doctor and his Jammy Dodger were brilliant. :D

Because it looked cool. Stop trying to apply logic to that! It was a Spitfire in space! With lasers! :D That in itself is absurd. And brilliant.

Wasn't that just for the main, boss Dalek? That voice has been used before, for the Red boss Dalek in the Davros episodes.

Because it looked cool? Hmm. It was absurd, that's why I didn't enjoy it. It doesn't need to be so unbelievable to be good.

Well, if it was, that's ok. But if it's all of them, I don't like it.

Ha. Ok. I assumed Chip was referring to the overall show rather than the story though. I.e. I don't see how Moffat, or this, is anything different or special from any other episode or series that has been on.

IIRC, the ship was too weak, too broken, to use the ray for destruction. They only used it to turn the lights on.

I don't think this series has been radically different from the previous new ones.
But Moffat's episodes in the previous series did stand out as superior.

So, I'm a bit perplexed.
I am enjoying this series though, don't get me wrong. I suppose I was just expecting every episode to be as amazing as Blink. (unrealistic, obviously!)

But why not just blow the bomb and destroy the world straight away?

I know the answer, but it's another annoying plot point.

The new series kicks off here in 10 minutes!!! Trying to decide if I should let the kids watch with me...

Yes.

I just don't want the kids wigging out on me.

Wigging?
