I'm not on an obvious flight path, but it's a lot quieter than it usually is. Planes must rumble around the sky far more than I'd ever imagined.
How peaceful is it where you are?
Very. The birds are signing. The only noise, is the water running through the weir. I can live with that.
It wouldn't make any difference at all here, infact if there were a few hundred jumbo jets rumbling above it would help drown out the noise of the chavs, hopefully. Send 'em this way, I don't mind them.
The ducks are making a noise that the moment though
Normally where I live is pretty quiet, but this morning there are bloody workmen outside having a "who has the noisiest drill" competition. C**ts.
I'm the only one here, so it is rather peaceful.

Are you at the planning committee for Gordon Brown's victory party?
Not very quiet at the moment. iTunes is playing Bad To The Bone by George Thorogood & The Destroyers and the kids are arguing about who's next on the Wii.
Very. I'm the only one in my area at the moment as it's Saturday and what I came in to do in the production area has all gone horribly wrong.
Also we're near City airport and you can usually see at least 5 planes in the sky at any given time.

Ooh that's cruel. But rather funny and horribly true.
I'm currently at my parents', close-ish to Heathrow. Although it did have to be pointed out to me, there is a nice calmness. We're not so close that we get any particular conscious or noticeable noise, but evidently there's background rumble most of the time. I've always loved how peaceful and quiet it is at night: I wondered if it was lack of traffic on the roads, but I guess it's the skies.
Typically the one week there are no planes, we're not at our flat right next to City airport.
Down here there's barely any planes anyway, so I haven't noticed any difference.

Where is down here?
Somerset.
Not known for its major airports.
Nor for many main roads, either.
