Is it? It looked quite nice in the film.

The "shithole" comment was only a reference to the film - it really is pretty although I'd have been pissed off like Ray in the film if I had to stay there for two weeks...One day is enough to visit the place.

I was too busy trying to follow the plot through all the ridiculous coincidences to notice the scenery.

Agreed. It was all a bit far-fetched, wasn't it? :S

Fair enough.

*crosses Bruges off list of possible holiday destinations*

:)
The Director's Cut reinstates the original end with them winning the Euro lottery.

I think that the larger-than-life plot was intentional - we are told numerous times throughout the film that being in Bruges is like "being in a fairy tale".

Is that the cart before the horse?

More likely, we're told numerous times that being in Bruges is like "being in a fairy tale" to somehow explain away the larger-than-life plot.
:O :)

Hi Spiceadder. :P
