My cat has fleas

My cat has fleas, and I'm using all sorts of stuff against them. Has anyone used an Electronic comb Zapper? I've heard it works on humans, against lice, but I suspect moggy might run away if he hears a 'zap'.

You can get drops from the vet you put on the back of its neck about once a month. They're not bad.

Make sure you treat your carpets as well or they can hang around for a bit afterwards as eggs and stuff.

Yes, I use them. He's still got fleas. Also I use a spray to kill them in places where he sleeps.

I can find no videos of fleas being electrocuted on cats...presumably cats won't tolerate it.

Best thing to do, for the sake of the cat and you - drop a brick on it.

Didn't work on Stott though?

The eggs can remain viable for up to a year IIRC. The eggs will be laid in all kinds of places, not just the bedding. And if your cat is getting reinfected from an outside source, you'll have little option but to work out and maintain a de-fleaing procedure.

You need to heat some water in a pan, make sure it isn't boiling, test it with your forearm so it's not too hot...

and then drown the f**king thing.

Whey! Scottidog. :) Wave

Have you made sure your cat is not going hunting down fox burrows? That's how my dog got fleas last year.
