Isn't Moffat Scottish?

Yeah, that was the gag, he was bigging up the Scots.
"It's funny because it's true" doesn't apply there.
Well spotted.
Quote: Matthew Stott @ April 14 2010, 11:59 AM BSTYeah, that was a funny line. Funny as in made me laugh, not controversial.
You might like this line from a Guardian interview on March 22, I did:
"All we writers want to do is write a script, toss it over a wall and go out with strippers."
In the same interview he said " I hope the Tories don't win, let's not beat around the bush.'
Quote: Nogget @ April 14 2010, 6:42 AM BSTand I remember RTD talking about how keen Mr Moffat was to keep Georgia Moffett's character (the Doctor's daughter) alive, with the strong implication that he wanted to keep such a sexy girl involved. The man wants it sexy!
Oh god! Moffat is rapidly falling off the pedestal some of us had him up on for Blink et al.
She was shit.
Bring back Sally Sparrow by all means, but not that girl.

Some of you are so easilly turned.
No, he's just not looking so perfect now I know more about him!
Plus he's Scottish...

No one is perfect. Except me. And even I'm not.
Sally Sparrow is a film star now though, too busy surely for Who.

I almost put 'Aaron is rubbing off on you', but then I read it back and realised it could be taken another way, so didn't.

Much too.
Just been watching the episode where Tom bakers Doctor meets Leela.
It's called the Sexy thighs of Evil or something, hold on I'll look it up.
The Face of Evil.
Good episode.
I was wondering. Who was the longest running companion
(I know they all run quite a lot)
Was it Sara Jane Smith?
Yes, Sarah Jane, followed by Jo Grant.
Face of Evil is fantastic. Two of the best Who stories ever - This one and Robots of Death - both written by Chris Boucher - who's still alive.
F**k Chris Chibnal and Nye and Richard Curtis, Moffat should be hiring this dude.
Quote: Timbo @ April 14 2010, 10:39 AM BSTAmong past assistants Lalla Ward might perhaps be described by an unkind observer as "wee and dumpy"...
No danger!
Quote: Nogget @ April 14 2010, 6:42 AM BSTI remember RTD talking about how keen Mr Moffat was to keep Georgia Moffett's character (the Doctor's daughter) alive...
I was hoping she'd come back as the new Doctor after Matt Smith and his two successors.
Quote: Timbo @ April 11 2010, 9:13 PM BSTA bit rushed, it needed more time to breathe and ratchet up the tension; you never really felt any sense of jeopardy, and the need for the oppressive regime was not properly explained. Okay though.
Anyone else notice that the creepy civil servant was called Hawthorne? An oblique Yes Minister homage perhaps.
That's immediately what I thought - I guess he was more or less the Humphrey of that Starship...
