INT. DULUX PAINT HEAD OFFICE. DAY

THREE MEN, GAVIN, CHARLES AND NEW BOY MARK ARE LISTENING TO THEIR HEAD OF MARKETING, DAVID, WHO IS STANDING NEXT TO A FLIP CHART

DAVID
Okay guys, the new colour range is in and we've been asked to come up with names, here's the first one...

DAVID FLIPS OPEN THE CHART TO A PAGE WITH A WHITE SQUARE ON IT

DAVID
Thoughts?

GAVIN
Sirocco Dove?

DAVID CONSULTS A BOOK OF EXISTING COLOUR NAMES

DAVID
Already done it

CHARLES
China Chalk?

DAVID CHECKS THE BOOK AGAIN AND SHAKES HIS HEAD 'NO'

GAVIN
Antarctic Swan?

DAVID
I'm pretty sure Crown have just released it

GAVIN
Shit!

MARK PUTS HIS HAND UP. GAVIN AND CHARLES EXCHANGE SMIRKS

DAVID
Yes Mark?

MARK
What about, white?

GAVIN AND CHARLES'S EXPRESSIONS CHANGE TO SUPRISED INTREST

DAVID
White?

MARK
Yes

DAVID CHECKS THE BOOK

DAVID
White...white...white, nope, it's not in here, good job Mark! What about this one?

DAVID FLIPS OVER THE NEXT PAGE OF THE FLIP CHART. THERE IS A RED SQUARE ON IT. DAVID, CHARLES AND GAVIN ALL TURN TO LOOK AT MARK EXPECTANTLY

This is brilliant. I love that Mark becomes 'hot property' at the end.

Thank you!

It's simple but it works.
I could see this working on TV and it would definitely get a few laughs.

Another great sketch. Its not too long, it sits perfectly. I love it.

:D As usual you make me laugh Mikado

Yep, I like.

Thanks everyone!

I read this the other day and enjoyed it. Nothing much else to add, I don't think I'd change anything as it feels 'whole' already. Maybe it could be a runner, if you could think of similar situations where things aren't attributed their actual names. Like in KFC where everything is Big Daddy Burger meal this Zinger Tower that etc.

:D

Brill. Funny. Right down my street this one Mikado.

It's good but I can't shake the feeling that it's part of a runner. If I were to see it as part of a sketch show I think I'd be waiting for a return to the Dulux HO. It just doesn't build big enough as a one-off sketch.

My thoughts exactly. It just doesn't feel satisfying enough to stand on it's own.
