I'm a member of Chortle but have yet to post. I feel all shy and self-conscious over there. :$

I joined once when I was bored, then I surprise surprise got into an arguement with someone, got bored again and left.

Yes, it does look good. What other forums and websites did you look at as a model for it?

Many thanks chipolata. I didn't really model it on anything. Is that pretty bad? I wanted a unique style, I didn't want it to look like the average website.

Are they THAT bad?

Was Hilter that bad?

If you want to pick a fight with a bunch of f**ktards about who's bestest at making people laughing then yes it is.

Sorry to openly diss Chortle, if I ever decide to restart gigging I'm completely f**ked but I don't care, Chortle has a lot of trolls.

You want to get James Cotter, Dan Pearce and David Bussell on board.

Would they give me the time of day do you think?

Why do you suggest those guys in particular?

It's not bad, no, but I thought you might have studied the market. For example there are quite a few Onion style websites, many of whom have tried to drum up business here, and I wondered if you'd looked at any of them.

I see, fair enough. Everyone seems pretty likable on here so far so looks like I did good.

May give chortle a try as well though, I'm curious to know what they will attempt to destroy me with first.

I tried to find some onion style sites but obviously I didn't really know what I was looking for.

I do do the whole joke news article thing but eventually I'd like that to just be a small part of what we do. I have no business intentions, I'm purely doing this out of love for comedy and community.

Interesting.

Did they want you to write for them or just support them?

They are all young, keen comedy writers and performers, so perhaps they would welcome a new platform from which to display their talents and attract new fans.

Both. We did neither. Unimpressed

Good thinking.

Great link.

Funny you should say that, I was just discussing how sucky it is that PNG images are so hefty. However the site usually loads really fast and every other page has the tiniest of file sizes.

Are you experiencing loading trouble?

It's a great tool as is the Google pagespeed plugin for FF.

Sorry but there were definitely more pages over a Megabyte, I just pointed out that one.

Site loads slowly on my 10Mbps connection which is why I looked at file size... I don't go around checking page sizes normally! :)
