Shame. One of the big names in music. Managed New York Dolls, Pistols and Bow Wow Wow.
Plus made a great album in Waltz Darling.

I thought his designer was Vivienne Westwood? Certainly a man who played a major role in shaping my late teens - sad to see him go.
don't forget the Double Dutch!
He was the Christopher Columbus of Hip hop.

Oh yes.
And Buffalo Gals and Madame Butterfly.
I spoke to him outside the Brixton Acadamy, at the 1998 UK Breakdance Championships.
Sad news. No doubt he did more good than harm, though his influence was far from always benign on the lives and careers of others. Sometimes brilliant, sometimes a self-aggrandising fantasist, would that be fair? There'll be mixed feelings amongst certain members of the Pistols I imagine.
R.I.P.
I'm surprised to see Lydon has made a forgiving and kind statement. Got to give McClaren credit, although he was clearly nuts and had a strange way of doing things. Plus he also said something that I have always stood by; "never trust a hippy".
RIP Malcy.
