General Election 2010 Page 19

I shall be voting Labour, in hope more than expectation.

Since you apparently disagree with their manifesto, in hope of what exactly?

Quote: Richard Wells @ April 8 2010, 10:38 AM BST

That's mad as I plan on voting Conservative lol.

Why, if you disagree with their policies and priorities so strongly?

It always astonishes me the extent to which people vote based on tribal affiliations and (outdated and inacurate) preconceptions, rather than on their own actual beliefs and interests.

This vote thing is not exactly scientific, but it does reflect actual policies, and in my case at least it did broadly confirm my voting preferences.

I'd just like to comment that anyone who says "I could never vote Tory" or "I could never vote Labour" (or even "I could never vote Liberal") - as though voting should be some tribalistic exercise akin to which football team you were brought up to support, is a stupid c**t. :)

(Not implying that anyone here is saying that, but we all know such people. Nature gave you a brain and democracy gave you the freedom of choice - be thankful and use them both before putting your 'X' against somebody on the basis that "I was brought up to vote for...". It really isn't like Man Utd vs Chelsea, it actually does matter in the greater scheme of things.)

Phew, got that off me chest. That's all. ;)

People vote for different reasons however silly they may be.

I'm voting for Tories because I like David Cameron and genuinely what to see what he could do once in power.

I'm also voting for the Tories because I hate Labour and think they have been in power far too long.

13 years too long if you ask me.

True, I have too many retard friends who throw away their vote on the monster looney raving party because it's "Funny".

They frankly need a f**king slap.

In hope of a Labour win. I'm a bit of a 'stupid c**t' really; I just can't vote Tory. Even the thought of it makes me feel dirty inside.

Sometimes it's good to feel dirty. Cool

A discussion on immigration would be a good thing. The current system serves no one and refusing to collect statisitcal data is childish.

I'm not voting.

Your constituency is very close Conservative/Labour, it's one of the latter's key target seats. Vote to keep them out!

I'm not voting.

Is there no subject on which you feel strongly? If there is and you feel unable to vote for any of the candidates, then register your protest by spoiling the ballot. Otherwise try not to express any opinions for the next five years.

I don't care. Until everyone involved in the Digital Bill is gone I will be spoiling voting paper.

Go and draw a willy on it.

LOL!!!

Bristol North West (where I bist) is Conservative(/Liberal) target seat number 54 - so frankly if Labour don't lose this seat then it's five more years of Gordon. Less than 5% swing.
