The vet will probably cut them off for you. And you should possibly take her for a check up anyway, cats stop grooming themselves when they're ill.

Yes, definitely get her to a vet ASAP. Not a good sign. Naturally, cats get very distressed when they're unable to keep clean. That she is so averse to having other parts of her fur cleaned or groomed, suggests that she could be ill or injured.
Unfortunately zooo's right, not taking care of their coat is a sign of illness in a cat. Get it to the vet for a check up!
My next door neighbour's cat always has matted bits cos she's so long haired. They just chop it off when it gets bad. But, she's always been like that, so it's a different situation.
I used to have a long hair who'd get some rather unpleasant "items" stuck to her back end that I'd have to cut off with scissors. It was humiliating for both of us.
Will do!
She seems happy enough mind. There is nothing else wrong apart from the mats, she's clean. She has had it around the neck before but not on the underside.
She is still tormenting the dog - so she can't be too bad.
Ah, that's good. If she's eating normally she should hopefully be fine! But like you said, better take her anyway so you know.
That's a lovely story chip.
Robyn is worried about bigfella's cat now, and is unsure why she is sorting out her essay this late at night.
Don't worry Robyn. Holly Bolly will be fine.
Aaron is still watching the goings-on in the House of Commons.
Everyone packing boxes?

No, but they are packing in the economic future of the country, particularly with relation to the digital and creative industries.

Aaron I think you'll find that they single-handedly just saved the creative industries in their totality and thanks to the politicians all of our little starving musicians and actors and film makers will be well cared for for years to come.
