I can honestly say that the fact there were several mixed race relationships in the show hadn't even crossed my mind, until reading these comments.

It seemed pretty magical that in only 2 minutes the Doctor hacked into some special "meeting" with lots of important people and programmed a "virus" which could turn every digital clock in the world to ZERO. I highly doubt that is possible in real life, let alone in 2 minutes. It was a great episode and a whole lot of fun, but this episode was in no way proper sci-fi.

Somebody I was talking to yesterday came up with this point. As for Ep 1, it was a good episode. The new man's very good indeed, and it's nice to hear so much positive feedback. It was clear from the first 10/15 minutes that Moffat was setting a much different, subtler tone than RTD.
Somehow DW works much better in rural settings than the rather dull urban surroundings of the last few years.
As much as we have to pay kudos to RTD for firmly re-establishing DW, clearly Moffat is a much better writer, less prone to the large gestures of the previous guvnor.
(And I can imagine David Tennant's more than a little pissed off at not doing a year with Moffat).

He had the option to stay, but I'm glad he didn't, it was time for a new Doc, a fresh start.

As long as he delivers on screen, that's all I care about. Though he has stated, several times, that he now thinks it's the best role on TV. Whether or not he was a fan before, he seems very enthusiastic about it now.
I wasn't very keen on the plot, but enjoyed the new Doctor.

The "gay" agenda is always leveled against RTD too, but I think I'm correct in saying that Captain Jack was a character created by Moffat, and we know RTD never tampers with Moffat's scripts.

It's true, the 'threat' of the episode wasn't the greatest, but this one was more about the new Doc and companion really, that was more incidental. Like The Autons in Rose. I wish they'd bring the Autons back and give them a proper story, they were proper creepy in the Pertwee stories, no reason why they couldn't be again, given the chance!
They should rejig The Brain of Morbius. One of the creepiest Doctor Who eps ever.

I did want Tennant to coincide with Moffat, for one series. So I wish Moffat had taken over a year earlier.

I don't think they should rejig or redo old stories, that would bugger the continuity or leave certain bits non-canon which would ruin it.
Apparently episode three is going out at 6.35; why do they keep changing the time?! Surely it's pretty obvious that a show benefits from having a regular, fixed time? It just seem very, very odd.
