I would very much doubt that. The Treasury economists, like the rest of the political and financial establishment, were - and still are - in thrall to the runaway global ponzi scheme that represents economic orthodoxy.

So what do I do with the remaining 5 weeks of freedom before the Lib/Con dictatorship takes over?

Unfortunately I suspect all of us in social services will have a busy week giving lethal injections to the needy. Before going on the dole no doubt to be killed as well.

I'll be voting for David Cameron because I liked the way he was portrayed by Jonny Sweet in When Boris Met Dave.
