I'm glad I live in a rather seismically stable area. Hurricanes and floods and tornadoes give minutes, hours or days of warning, but there's nothing creepier than when the ground starts to jump around beneath your feet.

I've only experienced a couple of very minor quakes in my lifetime and those were disconcerting enough for me. The last really major natural disaster we had in Britain was a (suspected) tsunami that hit the West coast of England, in 1607...

Unless you count the 1987 hurricane which, personally, I don't. Unimpressed

I've personally experienced floods, earthquakes, hurricanes, tornadoes, fires, lightning strikes and blizzards. Just to be safe, I guess I should stay away from areas prone to tsunamis and plagues of locusts.

And watch out for your first-born whilst you're at it.

She was in L.A. for the earthquake and has survived a few major disasters of her own.

So long as she's safe and sound. :)

She survived being raised by me alone from the age of 2 - what could possibly damage her?

Just got told by Facebook Terry Christian has too many friends.

Provided that the device needs 9 volts it will take whatever current 300ma from the power supply and neither will be damaged.

Thanks again Bill for your continued advice. Yes, it work fine now; so I don't have to buy another adapter to join the dozens that seem to fill my shelves.

The question has to be asked why were you looking for Terry Christian in the first place?

He offered to be my friend smarty knickers.

And top floors.

As an aside, shouldn't the US move all terror suspects to cells in the upper floors of public buildings? That way, they don't get 24 virgins if their mates pay a visit with an aircraft.

I wonder if stats show an increase or otherwise in earthquake deaths?

I've been in San Francisco 4 times and felt tremors on all bar 1 visit, one was large enough to make the local news. All of them were disturbing, more than frightening. It's not a nice feeling.

Had a top weekend with interweb lady. Dating sites get the thumbs up from Scratchyr.
Now she is on a plane back home. :(

If it doesn't work out there are plenty more of them, just try this site:

Think I'll see how this pans out first. Thanks for thinking of me though Adam.

Be careful though little scratchy:
