That's her proper accent! You're being Scottish-ist!

Fake, real, dubbed, imagined - it's still abhorrent!

the one in the future hospital.

F**k, that was bad.

It was Tennant's first ever episode, I think that can count as the first of his first series.

Just like today's is Smith's first and the first of his series.

Girl in short skirt

You've sold me on it. :)

You're being sneaky to make Tennant come out on tops! But I'll let you off. This time . . .

Actually, you mentioned treading over old ground with the companion earlier, I think this set up is actually very interesting, and new for the show. The fact that she's known him her whole life, and he's kept letting her down by dissapearing off; and that's clearly affected who she is, the fact she had to see several shrinks and so on. Also another indication of how well Moffatt, as a writer, incorporates time travel so well into his Who world; a facet of the show that is more often than not ignored. Which is weird when you consider it's about a man who travels in time.

That's true. Adds a different dimension to their relationship.

Looked at from that perspective then... yes, I concede this is a clever and interesting way to set the scene for their future relationship. (But don't interpret me admitting I am wrong about this as setting some of precedent, Matthew. I shall continue to be correct about everything else. ;))

Well Matt Smith was pretty good actually - although he's still too young - and too f**king skinny. When he took his shirt off he looked like a boy from a 1950s government film about TB.

I can't believe they f**ked up the theme music. In fact there's nothing good about the new titles - it was money wasted. And I see they haven't paid off those f**king choristers either.

I liked the monster. It appeared to be based on this:

Which appears to be based on a drug-induced dream William S Burroughs (probably) once had about a reptilian man-eating penis.

She's a ginger, bless her.

Wow. Now I have an inner conflict...do I stay excited for when it airs here in a couple weeks or do I dread the new series' arrival??

Nah, stay excited. :)

It's nice to have it back.
