Not many people on here leave that kind of comment without explaining their reasons, so I don't really see why you're implying that is the case. And "It's shit" might not be useful as a way of understanding why someone doesn't like something, but it is still an opinion. Look through the threads and, even if a show is generally not liked, you'll get an overall sense of the reasons why.
"It's shit" is actually the most damning sort of opinion, its brevity signalling that the poster can't even summon the energy to explain why it they found it so bad.
Personally, I also prefer to understand the reasons behind why people don't like a show (or, indeed, love a show), but at the same time I consider their opinions to be no less valid than my own. (Unless, of course, they don't share my views - those people are just ignorant scum. )

And who is to decide/censor which should remain private thoughts and which should be allowed to be published? You? I? The BBC?
We shall have to disagree - I still wouldn't see that as an opinion."I don't like it" would be an opinion. To say merely "It's shit" would seem to be a statement presented as a fact which really needs to be backed up.
Anyhow - that's enough "shits" from me.
I just watched the first three episodes this morning. First one wasn't great, but was alright. Second slightly better. Third (the one with the fun-run) I thought was great and I laughed a lot throughout to be honest. Getting to like the characters a bit more. It's not classic but it is entertaining.
'It's t'massive brain that always gets in the way int'it?' was a *very* funny line.
Also, as a West Yorkshire boy, the scenery made me miss home

Everyone leaving comments on here is opening up their opinions to an audience - isn't that what writing is? - and I agree everyone is entitled to an opinion but would say just saying something along the lines of "It's shit" is not really an opinion without a reason for saying it.
I had a perfectly good reason for saying it and I think I made myself very clear. My opinion is my opinion and I thought I expressed it well - I apologise if it was ambiguous. I shall try harder to reinforce my "It's shit" opinion in future.
Grace19 - you seem to be under the impression my comments were directed at you -they weren't. It was reading through the six or so pages on this thread that seemed to be strangely angry and overly judgemental about a sitcom! I'm sure there are better things to get angry about.
Indeed, we've got the 'Coming Of Age' and 'Lunch Monkeys' threads for serious anger.
Good episode last night. We got to the bottom of Gemma's craving for fame a bit more and a few really cracking lines too. Looking forward to seeing the final episode.
I watched last night also, it wasn't great but it wasn't completely dire either. I did laugh at a couple of great lines but was there any need for the "I'll be back in a minute, I've just got someone to do" line. Hmmmm

I could imagine you saying that, Ellie.
A couple of laughs. It's not feeling quite as flat as it did in the first episode or two. But still really nothing special or ... well, anything.
I have watched the first two, the first opened really well I thought. a kind of hey there Georgie girl kind of vibe and then meandered and then I found myself enjoying it anyway. And I enjoyed the second and am looking forward to watching the rest on my sky+ . But you know... I really enjoyed Krod Mandoon so my opinion may not count.
Saw this the other day but had to turn it off after 10 minutes. Didn't find it funny in the slightest and Gemma's character was a bit too clichéd and above all, very irritating. Just not my cup of tea at all.
Awww that was quite a cute ending. :-)
Quite liked The Gemma Factor in the end.
I nearly done a blub.
