Easter eggs

Here's a little eggy animation, if you haven't seen it before.

(I didn't put it in Critique because I'm not after feedback and it was made years ago).

And here's a question; did everyone get given Easter eggs when they were a child? I must have been about 14 before I ever got one and that was from my sister.

Yep. :)

But (as we know from your previous posts) your childhood experience of presents was generally a bit odd, wasn't it? Console

We used to paint eggs at school. And make Easter cards and chicks out of egg boxes and fluffy yellow balls and shiz. And eat mini eggs.

We did more at school than at home. But yes, I had Easter eggs.

I wonder when chocolate eggs became really popular. There didn't seem to be that many around in the 70s, although creme eggs seem to have been around forever.

Or, as Gordon Brown would call it, "investing in skills and training for all our young people". ;)

I'd be hard-pressed to come up with any Easter memories. It's never been that special a holiday to my family. I've had egg, mind. There's something nice about that big shell of chocolate.

Yep!

Big chocolate egg and extra kids stuff on TV. That's what it's all about.

Laughing out loud

To me, Easter means Carry Ons on telly.

Easter Monday there would always be a Carry-On film on.

I don't think kids were generally given chocolate eggs before the 70s - were they? Like we (in the UK) never knew about the Easter Bunny as kids.

I don't think we had the Easter Bunny, as in some big weirdo delivering chocolate eggs in a basket.
But Easter was all about (actual) bunny rabbits, chicks and lambs.

And Jesus. Don't forget Jesus.

I will, if that's okay. ;)

He never gave me no chocolate!

Yes, for some of us as children, Easter Bank Holiday weekend was - to a greater extent - spent in church. Pleased Errr :(

Bummer. :(
