Shows that you remember but no one else does! Page 5

Pole Position. Cartoon about crime fighting cars, really bad rock theme tune.

Johnny Jarvis.

Scully.

That reminds me..Jossy's Giants.

Animal Kwackers is kinda the UK Banana Splits except the Splits are a good acid trip and the Kwackers are a rather more scary trip.

The Kwackers' drummer is kinda like the Pete Best of the Banana Splits. He should've been in them because he looks more like them but got bumped out by the more fashionable Bingo.

And Drooper looks like Woody Allen.
:)

Does anyone remember Mr Rossi, or The Wuzzles? Or how about Rub-a-dub-tub, which started at 7.00 AM on a Sunday morning, and featured shows like Teddy Drop-Ear and Around the World in Eighty Days?

Towser - a white cartoon dog, easily startled.

Degrassi Junior High!

Canadians haven't forgotten it. I have it all on DVD, though still on the unwatched pile. It was far superior to Press Gang.

For those of us of a certain age, The Kids Of Degrassi Street was the pinnacle of that franchise. It was pleasantly depressing drama for kids.

While I'm thinking of forgotten Sketch shows

Alfresco

And there was Assaulted Nuts, which was sold to Indonesia.

Indeed. The Beachcombers was another great Canadian drama for kids.

Well let's not go too far!
Press Gang is one of my favourite shows ever! But Degrassi was brilliant too.

Anyone remember Gruey?

Johnny Jarvis.

That was actually pretty good and edgy for its time. I had the book, but can't remember if the book was first or the TV show. The main character was called Alan Lipton and was a bit of a Jarvis Cocker-alike.

Kingpin. After the success of The Sopranos, there were a rash of shows featuring morally dubious leading characters (The Shield, Dexter, etc). Kingpin was about a Mexican drug baron, and I thought it was pretty good. Unfortunately it only lasted six episodes.

Rather spooky that you mention that, as sadly the creator and writer of that show has just died. :(

Degrassi Junior High!

It was ace.

Joey Jeremiah was the man. "Joey Jeremiah in his Jean-Jacket!"

Ha! Oh my god. It's all come rushing back.

I hated The Beachcombers. It used to be on Saturday mornings in the summer when Tiswas was off air. It was either that or the far superior Space 1999 or Planet of the Apes.

What was the thing about a load of teenagers getting shipwrecked on an island that was stuck in the past? I think the kids were from different nationalities. It actually sounds like Lost, now that I think about it.

I do now, would have never thought of it had you not mentioned it. Can't remember much about it though.
